RealCast Networks is a company owned by Dhillan Enterprises Pty. Ltd in Melbourne, Australia.

RealCast Networks purpose is to provide a high and niche level service for it's podcasting clients; and to provide them with the opportunity of expanding their market awareness through the means of using available technology. Podcasts are becoming more and more accepted as a means to gain information and knowledge for general consumers, and we strive to create podcasts that are interesting, informative, and enjoyable for people to listen to.

 

In 2005 the term "Podcasting" became an official addition to the New Oxford American Dictionary, with it's editors citing it as the word of the year.

Defining the term as "a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the internet for downloading to a personal audio player", the term has been quickly embraced by society mostly due to its ties with the word "Broadcast" and Apple's "iPod" prduct which has quickly become the worlds best selling portable digital audio player.
